Last weekend, a youth group with 26 members had a ski weekend. This comes as a bit of a surprise, because the members are all in their mid-20s. They are a mix of men and women, and most of them have never been skiing. On the slopes, they are doing their best to keep up with the expert skiers, but mostly they are just trying to have as much fun as possible.
To make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the organizers of this group called Epic Life got in touch with us. We were asked whether we could suggest some easy tips that their young guests would enjoy. After all, more people mean more fun for everyone.
Find The Right Skiing Gear
The first thing you need to do before heading up the slopes is to get your ski gear sorted out. This means you need to decide whether you are going to rent or buy your ski gear. If you have a budget in mind, you can also look for discounted packages or deals.
Whatever you do, make sure that your ski gear is of good quality and that the materials and build of the gear are durable. Also, make sure that you adjust the fit of the gear to suit your body type. This will help you enjoy your time on the slopes. If you are planning on renting the gear, be sure to read and follow the instructions carefully so that you don’t end up damaging the equipment. This would be a pain to fix and could lead to you having to pay for new equipment.
Organize Some Driver Services
If you are driving yourself to the slopes, then it’s time to organize some driver services. This will make getting up to the lifts easier and prevent you from having to search for a parking spot at the end of the day. If you are driving a group with other people, then this is even more important. You can either hire a private driver or organize a van pool.
Van pools are popular across Europe and Canada, where you can share the driving with others. This can be less expensive than hiring a private driver and allows you to have more freedom to move around when you are not on the road. If you are driving yourself, then you should look into organizing a driver service, even if it’s just for the weekend.
Have Fun On The Slopes!
There is nothing more fun than skiing. It’s one of the best sports there is, and it forces you to get out of your comfort zone. This should be exciting, because every time you go skiing you have a chance to grow a bit more as a person. The people who go skiing the most are the ones who enjoy the most growth. So, have fun on the slopes!
There are a few more things you can do to make the most of your time on the slopes. One of the best things is to bring your ski buddy. It’s good for your social skills to be with someone your age, and it’s good for your health to get some exercise. If you are both on the slope together, then it’s easy for both of you to keep up with each other and enjoy the ride. And what is a ski buddy but a person you spend most of your time with on the slopes?
Learn Some Tricks
While you are on the slopes, it’s time to pick up some tricks. The best way to have fun is by being the best you can be, so learn some tricks. When you do them well, no one will be able to tell that you have never done them before. This is one of the main reasons why intermediate skiers have more fun on the slopes than beginners do. The more you do it, the more you will enjoy it. So, don’t be afraid to try out some advanced techniques and show off what you can do. You will give yourself confidence, and that is one of the best gifts you can give yourself on this weekend.
Enjoy A Great Location
Another great thing about the ski resort is that it’s in the Alps. This means that the weather is usually fantastic, and it provides the backdrop for some truly memorable ski experiences. In the morning, you can wake up and have lunch delivered to you by a gondola. In the evening, the sky is on fire, and you may even see shooting stars. It just never gets cold enough in the Alps to provide any real challenges for the skiers. So, enjoy a great location, amazing food, and wonderful company.
Now, it’s time to tackle the main event of the ski weekend. On Friday evening, the guests arrived at the resort and began their transition to the mountain. The next morning, they woke up and began their first day of skiing. After lunch, they had some free time, so they picked a spot on the mountain and settled in for a spot of relaxation. By the end of the day, they were ready for more action and headed for the slopes again.
On Saturday, the same group woke up and got ready for more action. The afternoon was spent on the slopes, and in the evening, the guests had a barbecue and socialized with other resorts’ visitors. Sunday morning began with an indoor pool session, and then it was time for the rest of the group to catch the bus back to Villard-de-Lans. This was a long but memorable weekend, and all the guests had a great time and look forward to another trip up the mountain. If you are ever in the area, then you should definitely look into organizing a group of friends and spending a weekend in the French Alps. It would be good for your social skills to be with people your own age, and it would be good for your health to get some exercise. Thanks for reading! We hope this article has helped you in some way.
